About the Summit

Burke's is partnering with EdTechTeam and its Google Certified Trainers and Innovators to lead a series of workshops on how to leverage educational technology as a tool in the classroom and in teachers' work. The workshops will focus on deploying, integrating, and using G Suite for Education (formerly Google Apps for Education) and other Google Tools to promote student learning.

The day will kick-off with keynote speaker Holly Clark and her presentation "Are You Ready to Disrupt?" where she will challenge teachers to think about new ways to use technology to make thinking visible, to give every student a voice, and to allow students to show their work in new and innovative ways.

Holly's keynote will be followed by three break-out sessions offering eight different workshops each session. Examples of planned sessions are "Google App & K-2 Exploring Technology Integration," "Unleashing Student Creativity with 360° Storytelling," and "The Google Infused Classroom: Drive, Docs, and Classroom for Experienced Users."

The day will conclude with time for teachers to share, reflect, collaborate and connect.
