Small group sessions are available to support students tackling similar challenges. These sessions provide a group setting where students can find peer support, encouragement, and skill development. Groups typically meet for several weeks during the school year and cover a variety of topics such as grief, anger management, anxiety, and various skill-building activities. The topics chosen for these groups are based on the current needs identified within the school community, drawing insights from teachers, administration, and feedback from parents/guardians.
Students, teachers, and parents can request counseling services for their child at our school. These services are brief and short-term, focusing on problem-solving rather than long-term therapeutic support.
If it's determined that your child would benefit from ongoing support, we can provide referrals to community counselors outside the school setting or see if there is an opportunity for your student to receive counseling at school through a school based mental health counselor.
