Meet the Counselor
Meet the Counselor
Hello! My name is Sarah Verdini, and I am the school counselor at Wateree Elementary School. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with you and your children this school year!
I hold an Education Specialist Degree in Counselor Education, focused on K-12 School Counseling, from the University of South Carolina. Additionally, I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Winthrop University.
Before becoming a counselor at Wateree, I taught preschool special education for 8 years, where I built a strong foundation in supporting diverse learners and teaching essential academic, daily living, social-emotional, and behavioral skills.
I live in Blythewood, SC, with my husband, Alex, and our golden retriever, Piper. In my free time, I love spending quality moments with family and friends, listening to podcasts, visiting the beach, and diving into a good book.
