Parents: While your student is still in high school, they are now considered college students at Rowan Cabarrus Community College and will be treated as such. Here are a few tips to help your students:
Help student access WebAdvisor & Blackboard
Talk to your student about accountability and communication.
Contact Mrs.Dudley only if they are having trouble with access. Mrs.Dudley does not have access to grades.
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) is a Federal law that governs the maintenance of student record's. This act, with which the College intends to comply fully, protects the privacy of educational records, establishes the right for students enrolled to inspect records kept by the College about the student and the right to correct inaccuracies in the records. Rowan-Cabarrus Community College recognizes its responsibilities to students in maintaining accurate and confidential student records. Access to the records by persons other than the student is limited and generally requires prior consent by the student. Rowan-Cabarrus Community College adopted a written policy governing the rights of parents and students under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
