Viking Pantry and Closet
Viking Pantry and Closet
Ms. Roberta Holt-Kipper, manager, and the Alumni volunteers run the Pantry and Closet. The funds come mainly from the members of the NEHS Alumni Association.
They provide food, clothes, shoes, and school supplies to students and their families.
The two major campaings are for Thanksgiving and Christmas where families receive a Holiday Dinner kit to prepare a deliciuos meal at home.
Also, the Viking Boutique is another successful event where students find everything they need to attend Prom and Graduation.

Great KC Writing Project
Great KC Writing Project
An opportunity for high school students to share personal stories and break down divisive barriers, like race, which divide us.
Students will attend a series of writing workshops. Their final piece will be presented at the annual KC Storytellers Festival.
If you like to write stories contact Mrs. Truax at the media center to fill out an application.
