Border Star Montessori is one of two public signature Montessori schools in Kansas City. At Border Star, we adhere to the standards and principles outlined by Dr. Maria Montessori. We pride ourselves for being a public urban Montessori school that brings rich experiences to a diverse group of children. Our educators are highly qualified Montessorians. In addition to obtaining Missouri teaching credentials, lead guides have their Association of Montessori Internationale (AMI) Diploma, American Montessori Society (AMS), or they are enrolled in AMI Teacher Training. Assistants have completed AMI Assistants Courses, or are currently enrolled.
