About KC Kars
In August of 2021, commercial property to resolve a personal storage problem was purchased from Vowell Mechanical Services in Covington, TN. Two buildings, an office & garage building in very poor health, for they both leaked and were virtually abandoned. When I realized that the addresses were 1000 & 1004 South Main, intrigue followed.
With the support of my wife, Linda along with encouragement from neighboring business owners, the buildings and property on South Main Street was purchased. Thus began the birth of KC kars with a goal to store the cars we already had, discover, inventory and rescue MG's primarily. Resources are ramping up to assist new and old friends with their desire to find, rescue and restore their favorite cars of the past.
We were looking for MG's, But now we don't have a building to protect them in.
March 2023 - F3 Tornado Damage
Slowly but surely making the place functional and a safe place for classic cars.
On March 31st an F3 Tornado hit Covington. The warehouse containing 9 cars and trucks was negatively affected by the event. As the pictures indicate, the 120 x 40 warehouse was lifted off its foundation, jumping over 4 vehicles, landing squarely on my father's Toyota Tundra, an International Scout and 3 MGB's. Fortunately for the 1058 MGA pictured, the building jumped over it with minimal damages. Amazing!
