A time capsule is a special container that holds our most cherished memories. The sixth graders made a time capsule for their final English writing assignment in KCIS. Ms. Helen recalled “ The teachers came across a reading about time capsules in Focus on Grammar. We thought it would be a wonderful way for students to commemorate their graduation.”
Everyone has something they treasure in mind. First, the majority of students put in their unique class mascot shirts or some notes from friends to remember the people who have been a part of their journey. Second, many students chose to keep certificates or medals to recognize what they accomplished. A lot of students include things or pictures as reminders of their computer class or the trip to Snow Mountain. All of these items together can remind graduates of similar moments when they look back. Before we look at some examples of these items, let’s wish the sixth graders a wonderful graduation and much success as they enter middle school!

Every school year, there are various events taking place at KCIS. What is their most memorable one? The pie chart shows that a large number of students, 64.9%, have chosen the graduation trip as their favorite memory. “It might be a once-in-a-lifetime experience with my classmates,” a student from 608 said.
In addition, over a quarter of the students chose the Snow Mountain climbing trip as their favorite event. Some students who went on this trip said the trip made them feel that all their work was worth it. Their combined third favorite events are English Open Day and little Ironman, because they could take more responsibility for running these two events than before. No matter where the grade 6 students are in the future, we hope that they can keep their most unforgettable memories in their mind.

Students at KCIS have a good time with their friends and teachers in all different corners of the campus. However, have you ever wondered where G6’s most favorite memories are made? According to data we have collected, most of the G6 students prefer to spend their time on the seventh floor rooftop and the gym, especially those who enjoy playing basketball with their friends.
You might be wondering, where do students who do not enjoy sports go? They go to the third most popular location, the library, which contains a wide range of books for all the students to enjoy. Other than the top 3 areas, they can also swim in the big swimming pool or improve their conversational skills at the English village. Let’s hope the sixth graders can spend their last few days at KCIS walking around the campus and recalling these memories.

We have a lot of different subjects that provide us with valuable skills. The variety of these subjects makes KCIS even more special than any other school! Based on the survey results, PE class is the students' top choice, followed by the various clubs and Art and Music classes. You won’t be surprised that PE class is the favorite among the students. Many students mentioned that they enjoyed learning different sports. Some even believe they can be taller and stronger by playing sports. Through clubs, students appreciate the freedom to engage in activities they enjoy. Oliver from 601 said, “ I can learn new things there, sometimes I can find my new hobby.” Students have their personal preferences for subjects. All subjects together remind them of their wonderful moments with different teachers and classmates in KCIS!
