Beep! The room card swiped successfully and behind the door is a gigantic room for two people. Students excitedly entered the hotel room on the graduation trip they have been looking forward to for a long time. This exciting event is located in Hualien. Students went to places like the Toroko Gorge, Mataian Wetland, and East Rift Valley National Scenic Area. They walked into nature and an exhibit of the past to see how people lived in the woods. They also learned how to pound mochi. Most of all, they got a chance to stick with their best friends all the time. When the campfire shone on their faces, they knew they would always remember these wonderful moments together. Standley, the student from 606 said, “This trip is very interesting because the attractions like Matai'an Tribe are all knowledgeable and entertaining, we learned how to use wisdom to capture fish”. They can feel the teachers and guides prepared this trip with lots of effort.

What were you doing during your winter vacation? This winter break, some of our teachers were in Japan. Were they there for sightseeing? Not exactly. They went there to visit schools because they wanted to learn about how other schools teach and how to make our school even better. Each school they visited has its own features of curriculum and technology applications which our school can refer to. “I was impressed that one of the schools uses Minecraft as an educational tool to build teamwork and technology skills in students,” said Ms. Moguli. It might be a great idea to make learning more enjoyable and engaging. Let’s thanks the teachers who were on the trip for working so hard on future developments while we were hanging out with our family and friends.
