Voices from Heaven: The School Choir

By: Olivia Chiang , Ashley Chuang, Tiffany Teng

Have you ever heard that sweet and musical sound coming from the music classroom? We always stop to listen to the lovely music sung by the school choir. Our school choir is one of the biggest school clubs with around 60 students. Students in the choir don’t only sing well, they practice hard during their spare time to win trophies and awards for Kang Chiao. This year, the school choir’s teachers, Miss Lee and Miss Wu, led the students to join the New Taipei City School Choir Competition, and they won the third place by singing the song, Baba Yetu. Their amazing harmony must deeply touch all the judges' and listeners' hearts, too!

The Healthy, Appetizing Lunch

By: Siersha Hung, Liz Liu, Serena Peng

How much do you know about our school’s lunch? It’s not only delicious, but also healthy! That’s because it’s designed by nutritionists. We are offered the right balance of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein with every meal. The nutritionists embrace food diversity, so we experience different food cultures with our lunches. “I am always excited to have my lunch every weekday, especially on Wednesdays and Fridays! We have special meals, like hamburgers or pasta!” said a student from 502. Instead of wasting food, we should all finish what’s on our plates and be grateful for the people who cook for us.
