Quarter 1: New Kids on The Block
Welcome to all of the Newcomers! Our first theme is based on welcoming each other, getting to know each other, and learning the basics that are important to learning language like numbers, colors, weather, dates, places, and more!
Quarter 2: Cool as a Cucumber
In our second unit, we are going to learn about food and words we use when we eat! Yum! We might even do some cooking! We'll learn about things at home like the names of the rooms and what in them. We're also going to learn how to speak politely. :-)
Quarter 3: Break a Leg
In the third quarter, we will learn about the body. We'll learn about emotions and how to say how we feel. We're alos going to learn about medical words to use for going to the doctor's office.
Quarter 4: Out on the Town
We're going to be busy in the last quarter! In this unit, we will learn about our jobs, places around the neighborbood, and transportation. We'll also learn about our five senses and how to describe how things look and feel. We're also going to learn about money, transportation, and weather.
