Our nationally recognized faculty will work with students on audition techniques, movement, fight choreography, score analysis, song interpretation, and promotional material preparation during this two-week intensive. Students entering their senior year will also be offered the opportunity to complete all the requirements for the GetAcceptd.com Musical Theatre Common Prescreen Requirements, the prescreening used by many college BFA programs, during their residency with the KCD SSI. Each morning will begin with a group seminar such as Musical Theater Style, Surviving a Dance Call, The Healthy Belt, Dissecting the Score, and The Healthy Belt: How to last in the business. All students will also receive two 60-minute private voice lessons, with one of resident voice faculty .

While audition recordings are not required, students are strongly encouraged to submit audio or video evidence of their work as well as a list of recommended song/scenes they have previously vetted with their teacher/vocal coach. Mrs. Stone will contact students to arrange the submission of supporting materials once registration is complete. Registrations will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.
