About the Show/Show Synopsis:

During a surprise storm, Captain Savage Raines goes missing at sea. The wreckage of the Half Shell is found, but with no sign of the commercial fisherman, Sheriff Sandy Shoals assumes Captain Raines is dead. That wouldn’t be a surprise considering what a hateful codger he was. After all, who else would name his twin daughters Misery and Calamity?!

The sheriff finds the incident especially curious since the shipwreck was just a day after Savage announced his retirement and revealed plans to divvy up Peg Legg Seafoods. And since those business plans minimized his wife Peggy’s role in the company and largely cut out the rest of the family with the exception of his bootlicking twin daughters, everyone had a motive for sabotage.

Reeling in audience members to help sift through the evidence, Sheriff Shoals casts a wide net to try to catch the guilty party.

Mr. Scrooge's Christmas:

Adapted by Thomas Hischak

Join us for our Elementary/Middle School Winter Play -- an adaptation of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. This studio theater production will take place at the Curtain Call Studio December 9-11, 2022.

Synopsis: Emphasizing the ghost story aspect of A Christmas Carol, the play is narrated by Jacob Marley who, as he tells the audience, has been dead for seven years, but now returns to Earth to try and reform his ex-partner, Ebenezer Scrooge. The miserly Scrooge is seen frowning at carolers, chasing away charity collectors, and making life miserable for his clerk, Bob Cratchit. But Marley appears to Scrooge on Christmas Eve and sends three spirits: Christmas Past, Present and Future. Each spirit reveals a different aspect of Christmas and in the end, old Scrooge is changed and celebrates Christmas dinner with the Cratchit family.
