Welcome to Room 12's Class Site!
We are a new entrant/ year 1 class at Kawakawa Primary School. Our class continues to grow throughout the year as tamariki turn 5 and begin their school journey. We will be curious and creative learners, who experience a wide range of numeracy, literacy, physical education, arts, te reo maori, science and social studies learning opportunities. We are excited to have you on this adventure with us!

About me - Whaea Tahlia
Kia ora! Ko Tahlia toku ingoa.
I am proud and excited to begin my second year teaching at Kawakawa Primary School. I have previous experience in ECE, Primary and Secondary Schools, throughout Te Tai Tokerau.
Originally from Mangawhai and now living in Kawakawa. I have 2 young tamariki of my own, 4 dogs and a few chickens. I enjoy all things nature-based; hiking, diving, gardening and camping.
I believe in teaching holistically and holding onto the taonga of childhood for as long as possible.
