Ronit Ron-Yerushalmi grew up in Israel in a small moshav near Netanyah. After serving in the IDF, she earned a BA from Tel Aviv University with a double major in Israeli culture and history and Middle Eastern studies . She moved to the United States fifteen years ago, when her husband, who is now a professor of political studies at ASU, began his doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota. She holds a master of education degree from the University of Minnesota with a focus on second language and culture education where she also worked at the Center for Advanced Research on Language Acquisition. HaMorah Ronit taught Hebrew and held administrative positions in a number of Jewish schools and synagogues and she taught Hebrew in a higher education settings at the University of Minnesota, the University of Michigan, the University of Toronto, York University, the Technion, and in the Critical Languages Institute of Arizona State University. Ronit and her husband have three daughters.
HaMorah Netta has been in education since 2004 and has been teaching at Kavod since 2013.
After she finished her MA in Communications at Tel Aviv University, she arrived to the US with her boyfriend, Nadav. They got married in San Diego and started their family. These days, HaMorah Netta is studying her second MA in Teaching Second Language, at Middlebury College, VT.
HeMorah Netta loves spending her time with her family and she loves sports of any kind.
As a English second language learner, HaMorah Netta knows how challenging it is to learn and speak a different language. She takes that as her guidelines of how to teach and to understand her students. Her motto is if you don't understand, it means she didn't explained well.
HaMorah Reut was born in Israel. She began teaching at Kavod in 2019, after teaching four four years in Israel.
After she completed the ISRAEL DEFENCE FORCE she received her B.A. in Seminar Hakibutzim of Education in Tel Aviv.
HaMorah Reut moved to San Diego from Israel in 2019 as part of a mission World Zionist Organization.
These days, HaMorah Reut is studying her second MA in Teaching Second Language, at Middlebury College, VT.
HaMore Daniel, Hebrew teacher and Musician, spreads knowledge and fun for more than 10 years. Joined the Kavod family this year from the sunny Tel-Aviv. Has a BA in Choir conducting, MA in Music and MA in Philology, Hebrew language. In his life journey he had a privilege teaching people aged 3 to 70. In his free time Daniel likes sports and outdoor activities, wandering in parks and at the beach, visiting museums and theaters, playing piano.
HaMorah Shira was born and raised in kibbutz kefar masaryk near the city of Akko in the northern district of Israel. At the age of eighteen, she went to a service year in Jerusalem in "hashomer-hatzair" youth movement, and she did her military service as a teacher-soldier (mora-hayelet) in a boarding school.
After her military service, she traveled in India and Europe and worked in different educational roles. She earned her Bachelor’s in Education at the
Beit-Berel College.
Before coming to Kavod, HaMorah Shira had been a Hebrew teacher for Arabic-Israeli students. In her free time she sings in a choir, loves to cook vegetarian food and travel in nature.
HaMoreh Roy was born and raised in the center of Israel. He began teaching at Kavod in 2021, after teaching for 5 years in Israel. He graduated from Beit Berl College in the year 2016, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Education. Roy has chosen the teaching profession as he feels education is the ultimate responsibility for positive progression in our communities and the world. In his free time, Roy loves being with his friends and family, as well as reading, playing sports, or just relaxing with a hot cup of coffee watching a good movie!
Rina came to San Diego from Israel.
She was born and raised in the city of Akko in the northern district of Israel. At the age of eighteen, she joined the Israeli army and served for two years in a unit called Search and Rescue. After the end of her military service, she worked and traveled in southern Europe then started my B.Ed. in Communication and Community Education at the Oranim College.
She has been working as a high school communication and cinema teacher since 2017 and has great passion for the field of new media and social networking as well. In her free time she likes to read, relax with Netflix, film and edit movies, meet new people and listen to music.
HaMorah Einav was born and raised in the Petach Tikva in the central district of Israel. She lived in Herzliya and Hod Hasharon.
In Israel, she was a school counselor, play therapist and a Social Sciences teacher. For the over 13 years she worked in both Elementary and High Schools in Israel.
She earned her Bachelor's degree and teaching certificate in Psychology and Education at the Open University of Israel, and her Master’s Degree in counseling Education is from Beit Berl college, located on the outskirts of Kfar Saba.
HaMorah Einav has a great passion for traveling, the ocean, music and books, meeting new people, adventures and exploring new experiences.
