Fall 2023 Gifted/Talented Transfer Student Screening
If your student was enrolled in a non-Katy ISD school's gifted program last spring, you may request Transfer GT Screening as soon as you enroll. Go to the KISD "New to the District" page and fill out a GT transfer online form. Please plan to provide documentation showing your child's GT placement at the previous school. This back to school screening is ONLY for those students previously identified in gifted program. Other new students are welcome to screen during the regularly scheduled grade level time frame.

Please Note:
Please Note:
- If your child is already in the GT Challenge program, they do NOT need to screen again.
- If your child misses a day of testing, the testing proctor will come back another day when your child has returned to school
- It is understood if your child is healthy enough to attend school, then your child is healthy enough to take placement tests.
- Screening is based on individual needs. Understand your child may not be pulled for every phase of testing.
