What is it? The AP Human Geography Summer Bridge Program is an elective course designed to furnish students with essential background knowledge and skills, enhancing their ability to navigate course content and succeed in both the course and the AP exam. The program is not graded, ensuring no impact on students'
GPAs. Additionally, a writing component is integrated into the program.
Who should take it?
Students who will register to take AP Human Geography as a 9th grader in the fall of 2025.
Students contemplating AP Human Geography registration, seeking additional support, and willing to include the course during the course selection process.
How long will the course take? The Bridge Program offers a self-paced format, intended for completion within a 2-week timeframe. Students can opt for either Session 1: June 2-13, 2025, or Session 2: June 30-July 11, 2025, with the selection made during online registration. The registration deadline for Session 1 is May 19th, and for Session 2, it is June 16th. Please note that registration will close once all available slots are filled due to limited space.
What is the cost? This course is fully funded through a grant, and there is no associated fee.

Specific instructions for accessing the online course and the writing workshop will be communicated exclusively to registered participants and sent no later than 2 days before the session starts.

What is included in the course? Crafted by a team of experienced AP teachers and experts, this course incorporates the following online modules:
· Engaging videos and interactive content catering to various learning styles
· Checkpoints and quizzes providing instant feedback for assessing student comprehension
· A pretest and a comprehensive final assessment offering detailed reporting for tracking growth and identifying knowledge gaps
· Writing modules designed to enhance skill development
Who will have access to student data? AP Human Geography teachers will be available to support students during the Summer Bridge Program through designated office hours. Collected data will be shared with the student's 9th-grade AP Human Geography teacher, offering valuable insights into individual strengths and guiding teachers in planning focused instruction. It is important to note that this program is not graded and will not impact a student's GPA.
