As you are making your course selections for next year, we would like to take a moment to highlight a critical component of our FFA program. Per the National FFA Organization's Constitution and Texas FFA Association's Constitution for which Paetow FFA is a chartered chapter, students must be enrolled in an Ag, Food and Natural Resources course in that calendar year to be a member of the Paetow FFA. We are not an extracurricular organization, we are intracurricular and as such have clear requirements regarding classroom involvement such as consistent enrollment in Ag Classes annually.

It may not seem like a huge concern to not be enrolled for a year and come back the following year but it is detrimental to the student's ability to obtain scholarships and apply for state based FFA awards as they require consistent enrollment. Students not enrolled also cannot show at the Katy ISD Livestock Show and this past year our Paetow FFA brought in more than $60,000 from the community for their efforts with their animals.
