Gifted and Talented Screening for Current Kindergarten Students

• Information regarding screening of kindergarten students for the gifted and talented program will be sent home with kinder students in late August as well as on the GT/AAS website.

• The Parent Checklist is due by September 30, 2023. Click HERE for the Kinder Parent Checklist.

• Return the completed checklist to the GT Facilitator at sylviampursley@katyisd.org or to the child's homeroom teacher by the due date.

• Parents will be notified of the students results via U.S. Mail by the end of February 2023 for services to start the week of March 1, 2023.

• If you are new to Katy ISD or re-enrolling after being unenrolled, contact the campus GT facilitator at sylviampursley@katyisd.org

*Screening takes a considerable amount of time and if your student qualifies, services begin the following school year.
