Mrs. Marouf's Art Class
Hi, my name is Heidi Marouf and I am one of the Art Teachers at Franz Elementary. I am a very proud mom of two boys, a wife, and artist. I earned my Bachelors degree in Design and 2-D animation, and worked in digital illustration before acquiring my K-12 art education certification. I have been part of the Franz Firebirds Family for 6 years, and in the Katy school district for 11 years.
I grew up knowing that Art is an integral part of who I am, and I believe that it is an important part of every child's development and that it is essential for every child to have access to some form of creative expression. That is why it is a personal goal of mine to teach my students to respect and value their time in Art class.
In my Art class students use their critical thinking skills during the creative process, they express their emotions and interests in their artwork, experiment with different media, and learn from trial and error.
