Meet the Directors

Mrs. Nowina Whitfield used to be a professional stage manager. She worked at companies across the US, including Houston Grand Opera and Stages Repertory Theatre for 10 years before becoming a teacher here at Cinco Ranch Jr. High in 2013. During most summers, she still returns to profesional stage managing operas in Houston.

Mr. Caldwell has been teaching at Cinco Ranch Jr. High since 2023. He has worked as an actor and dancer all across Texas including Austin, Marble Falls, Killeen, Houston, and Huntsville. In the performance world, he has been an actor, director, dancer, choreographer, assistant-stage manager, lighting designer, stage designer, and various crew positions. 

He fell in love with teaching theatre while attending Sam Houston State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Theatre with a minor in Education. He has now dedicated his time to support the future thespians of the world.
