In Texas Lacrosse is not yet a UIL sport. The governing body for all of texas is THSLL - Texas High School Lacrosse League. The Katy Lacrosse teams have been a representative of THSLL since it's inception. We play both district and non-district teams within THSLL.
The Club is the Katy ISD area High Schools representitive for THSLL. We are a club sport with players from most of the Katy ISD High Schools represented. Our club has been named many things in the past but we officially changed it to Katy Cavaliers to align with the Katy Cavalier Youth club as most of our players began playing Lacrosse as a youth. We also do not represent the Katy ISD in any capacity so it was important for us to ensure we are neutral to any of the schools our players attend.

The Katy Cavs Varsity team plays local area clubs in and outside of our division. All players on the team are registered on THSLL as a Varsity player so that when playoffs come any JV player has the opportunity to be called up.

The Katy Cavs JV team plays other local area clubs in and outside of our division. Historically they will play teams in any division. This team is formed with underclassmen and any player who is new to the sport.

Fields
We currently play at an assigned Katy ISD campus field. For example; the 2021-2023 seasons it was Tompkins High School and the 2024 season Cinco Ranch High School. The fields are assigned based on availability and willingness of the school to host us.
