Sickle Cell Association of Liberia

The Sickle Cell Association of Liberia (SICAL), founded in September 2020, is a non-profit organization responding to the high mortality and neglect surrounding Sickle Cell Anemia in Liberia. Formed by educators, caregivers, survivors, and health workers, SICAL works to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and improve care through advocacy, education, and support. Its mission is to ensure that living with Sickle Cell is no longer a daily struggle for Liberians.
