There is a huge variety of games featuring favorite PBS and Dr. Seuss characters. The games cover a variety of academic topics, age levels, and interests. I will link specifically to the PBS Kids Language Arts games below:
ABCya organizes their games and activities by grade level, so you can find just-right activities for your child in grades pre-K-6+. Click the "Letters" link in any grade level for activities specific to Language Arts skills.
Starfall has educational games and activities for students in grades K-3.
Fun Brain has been popular with our students for many years. But they often get hooked on one or two games and don't find the wealth of educational activities that it contains. You can enjoy any of the games on the site, but my favorite Reading and Language Arts materials are linked specifically here:
Fun Brain Books - Popular and high interest books such as Diary of a Wimpy Kid are available to read, page by page, right on the site!

This popular children's magazine offers a lot of great, free, online content. For Language Arts practice, look for chapters of books you can read for free, slideshows and articles about animals and other science topics you can read online, and "fill in" writing activities. You can also encourage your child to learn about a topic of interest and then write or present about it. Share the writing or presentation virtually with family, friends, and teachers!
This popular children's magazine offers many free sports articles with high quality photographs written just for kids.
