Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial Institutes (KAPMI) is a Group of Institutions started by Manasa Trust, Shivamogga. Late. Dr. K A Ashok Pai, was an internationally renowned community psychiatrist, writer, film maker, philanthropist and a pioneer in the field of mental health. KAPMI (Affiliated to Kuvempu University and Recognized by the Govt. of Karnataka) started in memory of this great visionary, aims to provide higher education in the field of psychology, humanities, science and commerce in an attempt to build a healthier society.
KAPMI was established as degree college in Shivamogga as a unit of Manasa Trust. KAPMI is renamed as Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial College (KAPMC). It has now evolved into a multidisciplinary degree college offering degree programmes such as BA, BSW, B.Sc, B.Com, and BCA. A major milestone was the decision of Kuvempu University to permit KAPMC College to offer the M.Sc Psychology course of Kuvempu University on its campus.
Kuvempu Univeristy has now recognized KAPMC as Research Center in the subject of Psychology to offer the Ph.D programme in Psychology.
KAPMC located in the heart of Shivamogga city is very close to main bus stand and railway station. The college is well equipped and self-contained, providing an enriching academic atmosphere. It has spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, a library, well equipped with reference books, journals, e-books, reading room facility. modernized teaching aids, medical consultancy, computer lab, psychology lab & student friendly amenities
Kateel Ashok Pai Memorial Institute of Allied Health Sciences, (KAPMIAHS) was started in 2019 with the approval of RGUHS to start the M.Sc in Clinical Psychology course with affiliation from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru.
With its excellent infrastructural facilities, experienced qualified faculty in its units, Manasa Trust was granted approval by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) to start the M.Phil in Clinical Psychology Programme in 2022.

The Manoloka Granthalaya (KAPMI Library) the books are classified according to the Dewey decimal classification and its fully automated with the Koha Integrated Library Management System (ILMS), ensuring smooth cataloguing, circulation, and access to resources. It also offers digital and online learning resources, enabling users to stay connected with global academic developments.
With a peaceful and well-equipped reading environment, internet-enabled computers, and user support from qualified library staff, the manoloka granthalaya fosters an atmosphere of inquiry, creativity, and lifelong learning. It stands as a center of knowledge dedicated to promoting academic excellence and research culture within the institute.
