Click into the course in your LMS and watch the 3-minute video.
Return to your dashboard and take the one-question final exam (we promise you will pass).
You'll know it's complete when you see a green checkmark on the Course icon under “Required For Completion” on your Dashboard.
If you don’t see the green checkmark, the course is not yet complete.
Complete the course within 14 days of your enrollment to satisfy the first eligibility requirement.
Note: Only students who purchased a complete licensing with exam prep package are eligible for the Kaplan Commitment. If you purchased a single licensing course or exam prep-only package, you are not eligible for the Kaplan Commitment.
Here is the order that you should follow to complete your prelicensing coursework:

The errata sheet for the Modern Real Estate Practice textbook used in the Principles I course can be found here.

Important: Per TREC Regulations, you cannot register and complete a course on the same day; at least twice the number of credit hours for which the course is given must have elapsed since you registered for the course. In addition, Texas will not award credit for more than 12 hours of study per day.
For each course:
You must complete all course modules.
For online text-based courses, you must complete all of the content within the course to receive credit.
You'll know it's complete when you see a green checkmark in every section of the Table of Contents.
If you don’t see the green checkmark, the course is not yet complete.
Online courses and exams require student authentication.
You will be required to select security questions that will periodically be asked throughout the course.
As you move through the course, be sure to attend the LEARN sessions.
These live sessions strengthen your understanding and allow you to ask instructors any questions you have.
Important: If you're inactive for 10 minutes, the course will time out, and you'll need to log back in.
You have 180 days (6 months) from your purchase date to complete everything. Start now. Don’t wait!
Drop into these classes anytime to stay on schedule with your studies.
Live LEARN sessions are instructor-led and help you master your course content. Attendance in these sessions is strongly recommended. Attend as many as you would like, at any time during your studies, to boost your content knowledge.

Once inside the HUB, select the LEARN session you want to attend from the drop-down list on the top left.

Texas requires you to take a final exam after each of your six courses.
Things to know about the finals:
All final exams are open-book Final Exams.
A score of 70% or higher is considered passing.
You have 2 attempts at each Final Exam.
If you fail the exam, you must make the same proctoring arrangements to retake your exam.
Your second exam attempt must be completed within 90 days of your first exam attempt.
If you do not pass the final exam after 2 attempts or do not take your 2nd exam attempt within 90 days of the first attempt, you will be required to complete the course again.
To ensure you have enough time for a second exam attempt, please make sure to review your course expiration date and plan your studies accordingly.
The exam is designed to be taken in one sitting; 10 minutes of inactivity will cause the exam to be graded and will be considered a valid attempt.
After passing your exam:
Go back to your Dashboard.
Click the “Affidavit” icon and follow the instructions to accept it.
This step is required to officially complete your course.
Repeat this step for each exam.
Once you finish the course, pass the final exam, and accept the affidavit:
You will see a “View Certificate” on the right side of your dashboard.
Please print or save this certificate for future use.
Repeat this step for each exam.
Before taking the exam, you must finish all required courses and apply to the Texas Real Estate Commission (TREC).
Review the application process and apply for a license [here].
Once your application is approved, TREC will send you an eligibility letter with an ID number you'll need to schedule your State exam.
After applying online, you will need to email your course completion certificates to Documents@trec.texas.gov.
Not completing this step will create significant delays in the licensing process.
Candidates must schedule a fingerprint appointment with IdentoGO by IDEMIA.
Use your TREC ID number from the eligibility letter when scheduling.
Read the requirements and make your appointment [here].
Bring your eligibility letter to your appointment.
Keep the receipt you are given after you are fingerprinted and photographed as required by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Your State exam can be scheduled once you have emailed your course completion certificates to TREC (see Step 6) and TREC sends an eligibility letter to authorize you to take the exam. We recommend setting a date for your exam a few weeks out from when you finish your coursework.
Visit Pearson VUE.
When using Pearson Vue for the first time, you will be required to create a web account.
Reference the TREC eligibility letter to find the ID number you will need to schedule your State exam.
