Available Classes

The classes below allow students to join/stay active in FFA

Intro to Agriculture 1

  • .5 credits (offered every year)

  • Intro to FFA, The Practice of AG Science, Intro to Natural Resources (Water & Soil Management)

Intro to Agriculture 2

  • .5 credits (offered every other year)

  • Intro to Plant Systems, Intro to Animal Systems, Intro to Ag Power & Technology

Ag Business 1

  • .5 credits (Counts as partial Economics credit), must take Ag Business 2 or Business 2 to fulfill the Economics credit for graduation (Runs every other year during spring semester, ask for additional information) No prerequisite required.

  • Marketing, Production, Economics and Finances

Ag Business 2

  • .5 credits (Counts as partial Economics credit), must take Ag Business 1 or Business 1 to fulfill the Economics credit for graduation (Runs every other year during spring semester, ask for additional information) No prerequisite required.

  • Marketing, Production, Economics and Finances

Animal Science

  • .5 credits must have a C+ in Biology to take for 10,11&12 grade

  • Study Anatomy & Physiology, Growth, Reproduction, Nutrition etc.

Introduction to Mechanics

  • .5 credit 9,10,11,12

  • Basic techniques of welding, small engines, & automotive with hands on learning opportunities

Introduction to Horticulture

  • 1 credit 9,10,11 & 12 grade

  • Work in the Greenhouse & outside maintaining school campus, Landscape Design, Floral Design etc.


FOX VALLEY CAREER CENTER

Horticulture 1

  • 11 & 12, 2 periods , 2.5 credits

  • Work on individual projects based on Horticulture, Floral Design, Landscape, Hydroponics etc.

  • More in depth than Intro to Horticulture

Horticulture 2

  • 11 & 12, 2 periods, 2.5 credits

  • Similar to Horticulture 1 with new projects putting more responsibility on the student

Welding 1

  • 11 & 12, 2 periods, 2.5 credits

  • Learn more welds and more hands on time

Welding 2

  • 11 & 12, 2 periods, 2.5 credits

  • Similar to Welding 1 with new projects putting more responsibility on the student, with the addition of more difficult welding techniques
