Nutrition Supports Brain Growth
Nutrition Supports Brain Growth
Proper nutrition in the early years fuels both body and brain development. Nutrient-rich meals, especially those with proteins, healthy fats, and essential vitamins, are crucial during the brain’s rapid growth phase. Malnutrition or inconsistent meals can hinder cognitive function, memory, and physical development.
From birth to age five, the brain develops more rapidly than at any other time in life. Nutrients like iron, zinc, omega-3 fatty acids, and vitamin B12 are especially important for supporting attention, learning, and behavior. A deficiency in these nutrients during critical stages of brain development can lead to long-term impacts on a child’s ability to focus, retain information, and manage emotions.
Children who eat a balanced diet are more likely to stay alert, participate in learning activities, and build strong immune systems. Meals should include a variety of colorful fruits and vegetables, whole grains, dairy or alternatives, and healthy sources of fat like nuts and seeds (as age-appropriate).
Involving children in meal preparation can also encourage healthy eating habits. When children help wash vegetables, stir ingredients, or serve food, they are more likely to try and enjoy nutritious meals.
Healthy eating isn’t about perfection—it’s about consistency. Parents and caregivers can model good eating habits, limit processed foods, and offer regular meals and snacks in a calm, positive environment.
Good nutrition today leads to healthier, happier learners tomorrow. Let’s feed their bodies—and their minds—with care.

8th September, 2025
On World Literacy Day, our students from Playgroup to Senior KG embarked on a delightful journey of imagination and learning. Each class engaged in age-appropriate storytelling activities designed to ignite curiosity and foster a love for reading.
(1)The youngest learners enjoyed interactive storytelling sessions using picture cards and hand puppets. These tools helped them connect words with images, enhancing their vocabulary and comprehension skills.
(2)Children participated in games involving picture cubes, encouraging them to create and narrate their own stories. This activity promoted creativity and improved their narrative skills.
(3)Students delved into storytelling with flashcards and storybooks, allowing them to explore more complex narratives and develop a deeper understanding of story structures.
Throughout the day, laughter and excitement filled the classrooms as students shared stories, collaborated with peers, and celebrated the joy of reading. This celebration not only honored literacy but also highlighted the importance of storytelling in early childhood development.
PLAY GROUP
Balloons & Brushstrokes
Our little artists explored colour, texture, and creativity with a fun balloon painting session! The children dipped brushes into bright paints and painted on balloons suspended before them, delighting in swirls of blues, greens, reds, and more. Their hands got messy, smiles got bigger, and imaginations ran wild as each child experimented with strokes and hues. This hands‑on art time helped them practise fine motor skills, learn about colours, and express themselves in a playful, sensory way. It’s amazing how art can bring joy, colour, and learning all in one messy, beautiful moment.
Creative Craft Session
Our little ones had a wonderful craft session creating landscapes with paper shapes. They cut blue cloud forms and green grass strips, arranging them on yellow sheets to build their own scenes. The activity helped enhance their fine motor skills, encouraged creativity, and boosted concentration. As they worked, students shared ideas and admired each other’s designs, fostering collaboration and joy. By the end, each child was proud of their colourful creation!
NURSERY
Theme - Transport Sorting Activity – Road, Air & Water
In this engaging classification activity, children learn to identify and sort different modes of transport by placing transport pictures in their correct categories:
(1)Road Transport: Cars, buses, motorcycles, bicycles, trucks
(2)Air Transport: Airplanes, helicopters, hot air balloons
(3)Water Transport: Boats, ships, submarines, canoes
Children place each vehicle on the corresponding area labeled ROAD, AIR, or WATER on a large visual desk layout. This interactive activity helps in:
Building general knowledge about transportation
Enhancing categorization and sorting skills
Improving visual and cognitive association
Learning through play and exploration
Literacy - Letter F Activity
Our nursery children enjoyed a delightful and engaging activity to help them identify and recognize the letter F. To make the learning process fun and memorable, the little ones took part in a creative palm printing session where they made colorful fish using their painted handprints. The fish were placed inside a pot outline, turning their artwork into a lively underwater scene.
To enhance the sensory experience and bring the ocean theme to life, the children also stuck real sand at the bottom of the pot. This not only made the activity more exciting but also supported their fine motor development through touch and texture.
Through this playful and hands-on approach, the children were able to connect with the letter F in a joyful and meaningful way, laying a strong foundation for their early literacy journey.
Numeracy - Spider Legs Number Fun!
Our little learners had a blast today during a hands-on math activity called “Spider Legs”!
As part of our early numeracy development program, the children practiced number recognition and counting by adding the correct number of clothespin “legs” to their spider templates.
This fun, interactive session not only reinforced number concepts but also helped build fine motor skills and team spirit. Learning truly becomes magical when it’s filled with joy, creativity, and curiosity!
Art & Craft – Wall Hanging with Stickers
Our little creators from Pre-Primary had a fun-filled craft session where they designed their very own wall hangings using colorful stickers.
This hands-on activity not only boosted their creativity and imagination but also helped in developing fine motor skills, focus, and confidence. The children were excited to see their ideas come alive and proudly showcased their beautiful creations.
Such engaging activities make learning more joyful while nurturing self-expression and a love for art.
JUNIOR KINDERGARTEN
Theme - Learning Through Planting!
Our young learners recently got their hands muddy in a fun and educational planting activity!
As part of a hands-on session to understand how plants grow, students carefully planted seeds in disposable glasses filled with mud. They didn’t just stop there — with lots of love and curiosity, they watered the seeds and began their journey of learning how nature works, one sprout at a time.
To make it even more special, the students showed their creativity by doing drawings and doodle work on their planting glasses — turning each one into a unique little piece of art!
This activity not only taught them about the life cycle of a plant, but also encouraged responsibility, patience, and creative expression.
Literacy in Colour – Purple & Brown Object Day!
As part of our Literacy development and theme-based learning, the teacher introduced the colours purple and brown in a creative and engaging way!
Students were asked to bring objects from home in purple and brown colours. They came in excited with all sorts of items.
In class, the teacher used the collected objects to introduce and reinforce the colour names, encouraging students to observe, identify, and describe each item.
This activity supported early literacy by:
(1)Expanding descriptive vocabulary
(2) Encouraging speaking and listening
(3)Developing observation and thinking skills
(4)Connecting words with real-life objects
Numeracy - Learning the Concept of Few and Many
Our little learners explored the concept of “Few” and “Many” in a fun and engaging way! Using colorful candy sticks, the children created visual representations that helped them clearly understand the difference between the two.
This hands-on activity not only made the lesson interactive but also enhanced their thinking, counting, and observation skills. The smiles on their faces showed how much they enjoyed learning through play.
SENIOR KINDERGARTEN
Theme - Wool Flower Craft
Students brought flowers to life using cut pieces of wool, which they glued onto flower pictures! This fun craft helped them understand textures, improve fine motor skills, and express their imagination in colorful ways.
These integrated activities made learning more interactive and joyful, connecting art with science in a way that sparked curiosity and creativity!
Literacy - Exploring Colours – The Magic of Mixing!
As part of our Literacy and Art Integration, students had a wonderful time learning about secondary colours through a fun, hands-on activity!
Each student applied one primary colour on one palm, and another primary colour on the other palm. Then came the magical moment — they rubbed their hands together... and discovered a new colour forming right before their eyes!
It was a joyful learning experience where children not only explored colour mixing but also identified and remembered how secondary colours are formed in a playful, memorable way!
Learning through touch, sight, and creativity — that's the colourful way we grow!
Octopuses have three hearts, nine brains, and blue blood.
