Kamal Dollah (b.1967) is a Singaporean artist who specialises in
batik painting and caricature drawings. Kamal completed his diploma
in graphic design at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in 1993.
He was actively involved in the local art scene
and returned to NAFA in 2007 for a sabbatical
to attain his Master of Arts degree in Contemporary Practice
from the University of Huddersfield (UK), with a thesis entitled
‘Innovating Tradition – Batik Painting in Contemporary Art Practice’.
Kamal’s Artshop was established in 2008 to train
and provide employment to artists in the art-education
and entertainment industry. Kamal Arts Limited,
a non-profit entity, was formed in 2014 for a more
effective outreach in bringing art to the community.
Artisan of the year award 2019 award winner conferred by
The Rotary Club of Singapore for outstanding contribution
to the arts and community service.
Record holder of three artistic feats in the
Singapore Book of Records.
A member of the International Society of Caricature Artist
Speaker at International Society for Education through Arts (UNESCO).
