We don’t sell tablet tools from stock, every single punch and die we manufacture is made to your exact specifications. Hundreds of units per day are carefully crafted and 100 percent inspected to meet our strict quality standards.

We Kalapremi shaped tablet tooling is completely interchangeable as standard. We are the only manufacturer to this at no extra cost. Our advanced machining technology ensures the position of the keyway relative to the punch tip is extremely accurate. This results in faster tooling set-up times and reduced downtime.

Coatings & Surface Treatments

Kalapremi's PDCote® range is a suite of treatments and coatings that enhance the performance of substrate material for punches and dies.

Since the introduction of PDCote® CN. Kalapremi has carried out extensive research (both academic and in the field) into anti-stick coating solutions using many forms of advanced technology such as Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM); scanning electron microscopy; laser profilometry; adhesion mapping; x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy; raman spectroscopy and time of flight secondary-ion mass spectrometry. In addition, work on abrasion resistance is continuing including nanowear testing to simulate wear caused by abrasive granules on punch tip surfaces.

Our focus is on providing the best customer service possible by furthering tableting science and developing solutions that help to enhance the performance of our punches and dies, extending product life and increasing yield for our customers. Kalapremi PDCote® products offer solutions for sticking, corrosion, pitting and abrasion.

Due to the many varying parameters in tablet production, including environmental conditions and differences in compounds to be compressed, the performance of these coatings can vary from application to application. Tool Maintanance Training & Technical Support

We make punches and dies for any tablet press available in the world today, including IMA Comprima, nutraceutical, detergent and designer-shaped tooling. Not only that, but our bespoke Multi-Tip tablet tooling means you can enhance productivity without huge increases in cost or floor-space required.

We understand the demand for increased productivity within modern tablet production and always strive to ensure that our punches and dies are at the very leading edge of tooling design. This allows our customers to retain a competitive edge. Many PharmaGrade steels and PharmaCote treatments and coatings can be used in conjunction with all of our designs in order to create a robust tooling solution that is capable of being both incredibly productive and durable at the same time. A very competitive lead time is also offered on all of our tooling systems, from designer shapes to multi tip tooling.

Micro Tips

Micro tips are tips that are equal to or smaller than 4mm in diameter. They carry all the same benefits as multi tipped tooling, including the impressive array of configuration options to suit many products.

Multi Tips

Increasing productivity within modern tablet production is an on-going challenge and we are always striving to assist our partners in their quest for increased capacity. We have therefore developed our range of multiple tipped tablet tooling.

Designer Shaped Tooling

In addition to the standard tablet forms I Holland also manufacture designer shaped tablet punches and dies. These punches and dies can be used to highlight brand identity, as an anti-counterfeiting measure or for ease of recognition. Designer shaped punches and dies can also be used to make vitamin supplements more attractive to children (teddy bears, robots, dinosaurs, etc.) or to enhance the appeal of sweets; fruit shapes for flavoured candy for example.

Nutraceutical Tooling

Nutraceutical and homeopathic formulations can contain very high mineral content and therefore often exhibit severely abrasive characteristics. Kalapremi tooling can help producers of such products overcome these adverse formulations through the use of punches and dies made of specialist steels, treatments and coatings.

Detergent Tooling

In addition to the standard tablet forms Kalapremi also manufacture designer shaped tablet punches and dies.
