When we do haka or mōteatea, the traditional chants, we transport ourselves into a different time.
This waiata mōteatea we are learning has been handed down through generations of Ngāti Kahu. It reminds us of our origins from Io-matua-kore, Ranginui & Papatūānuku.
It then identifies Ngāti Kahu before taking us on a journey through the territories of Ngāi Takoto, Ngāti Kuri and Te Rarawa.
