Staff and School Board
Principal
Mr Richard Reid
Kia ora, greetings to all. Kaihere School is an incredible place to work and live and my family and I are very happy here. I am married to Melanie and have four children, William, Natalia, Yvanna and Ariyala . In my opinion teaching is the best job on earth because it allows me to inspire children to think beyond their comfort zones, challenge them to reach their fullest potential and celebrate with them when they achieve success.

Kia Ora,
It is a pleasure to teach here at this beautiful school with the best view over the Plains! I live locally and have three teenage children who have loved their own childhoods living here too. I enjoy time spent with my family and getting out to the great local beaches, photography, music and art. Teaching is a joy for me when I get to see children's faces light up at what they can do, achieve and discover. And building a great foundation for students in the first few years of school.

I have always had a commitment to volunteer work and have in the past served on two Board of Trustees as Chair. I am happy to offer my experience and enthusiasm to support the team at Kaihere School, as per our motto “together we achieve more.”

Mrs Cheryl Jordan
Kia Ora. Me and my family moved to Kaihere Road in September 2020 after living in Hamilton for almost 12 years. We are all enjoying the rural life and freedom. I have 5 children, Drustan and Joscelyne are working, and Alexa, Mickey and Cody attend Kaihere School. They enjoy the smaller school with more opportunities. I have a firm interest in seeing student achievement progression and ensuring school remains a safe fun place to be for all students.
