Kia Ora everyone
Im Whaea Lexie. I have grown up in Northland and i live in Ohaeawai. I studied in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton) for 3 years and then moved back home. I am living on a small life style block and have been rearing calves. I have lots of animals and a love for the outdoors. I’m excited to be here, to learn alongside the tamariki, and to build positive relationships with both students and whānau. I’m looking forward to a fun, engaging, and rewarding year together.
My philosophy on learning is that, I firmly believe every student has the potential to achieve when provided with the right support, high expectations, and meaningful learning opportunities. I aim to encourage students to step outside their comfort zones, build confidence in their abilities, and strive for excellence.
One goal of mine that I am particularly passionate about is catering to diverse learning needs. I take pride in ensuring that all my students can achieve. By fostering diversity in learning, we encourage students to step out of their comfort zones and aim high. As someone with dyslexia, I understand firsthand how valuable diverse learning approaches can be.
