Golden Heart Academy is a residential school located in the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. Thanks to generous support by the Fairbanks Art Association, Golden Heart Academy and the Fairbanks Youth Facility hosted local artist Margaret Donat for an artist in residency class over Christmas Break.

The students made tremendous progress first learning basic shading techniques, drawing and shading landscapes, and then using their new skills to paint water colors.
