Application Process

Potential members may only apply if they receive an invitation from Mrs. Innes. Invites are sent in the spring to juniors and then again in the fall to seniors. To receive an invitation, you must have a 3.6 unweighted/4.0 weighted GPA. Recipients of invitations will have the opportunity to fill out an application and answer a writing prompt. Applications are judged/scored by NHS faculty committee and students are notified on acceptance. All applications must be made through your @k12albemarle email account.

Note: if a student is not accepted in spring (junior year), they do have the opportunity if they meet criteria to apply again in fall of senior year.
