When scheduling your course request meeting, be sure you are signing up during the correct window of time based on your grade level.
Juniors - January 4th - 21st
Counselors meet with juniors and their parents/guardians to review requests and discuss post-high school planning.
Sophomores - January 24th - February 11st
Counselors meet with sophomores and their parents/guardians to review requests and discuss post-high school planning.
Freshman - February 14th - March 4th
Counselors meet with freshmen and their parents/guardians to review requests and discuss post-high school planning.
March 31st, 2023
This is the deadline for all students to make changes to their course requests through their counselor after the portal closes.
In order to set up your thirty-minute course request appointment, please contact your student’s school counselor by using their Sign-up Genius link below or by emailing your student’s school counselor by December 10th. Counselor caseloads are divided by student last name or AVID.

Parents and students will have the ability to enter course requests through the Parent Portal. In order to enter course requests into the portal, the student or parent must have access to the portal. Students have access already because their username and password for the Portal are the same that they use to log in to computers at school. Parents who still need access to the portal can pick up their information in person in the main office from Ms. Shannon McDougall during school hours.
Please follow these directions for entering course requests:
Sign into the Student/Parent Portal
Click Class Registration from the navigation bar – the class registration page will appear
Click the Pencil icon to select courses under each heading
Make note of teacher recommendations and comments before selecting courses
Select a course
Click OK
Repeat for the next course
When all courses have been chosen, scroll to the very bottom of the page and click submit
Please note that there are several pages of electives, and that you are encouraged to look through ALL of the pages before making your selections.
December 9th & 10th, 2021
Freshmen enter tentative course requests through the Student Portal. The portal will close on the 4th for freshmen.
December 15th & 16th, 2021
Sophomores enter tentative course requests through the Student Portal. The portal will close on the 11th for sophomores.
December 13th & 14th, 2021
Juniors enter tentative course requests through the Student Portal.
April 15th, 2022
This is the deadline for students to make changes to their course requests through their counselor after the portal closes.
There is no advantage to entering course requests early. Students will not be assigned to classes until all students have had course requests entered by their counselor. This process generally begins in early summer.
