The ACPS Micro-Credential in Culturally Responsive Teaching is offered by The ACPS Office of Community Engagement in conjunction with The ACPS Office of Instruction, and provides an opportunity for educators within the Albemarle County Public Schools to receive credit and compensation for their participation in learning, application, reflection, and evidence of Culturally Responsive Teaching pedagogy to impact student results.

Applicants who successfully achieve an ACPS CRT Micro-Credential will be awarded 45 recertification points and will also receive a $500 stipend. Recipients of the ACPS Micro-Credential in Culturally Responsive Teaching will be formally acknowledged at the Diversity Conference awards ceremony in late spring of the calendar school year and will be invited to present at this conference.
We invite those awarded the Micro-credential in Culturally Responsive Teaching to pursue ACPS Certification in Culturally Responsive Teaching, awarded to individuals that document their learning across all three ACPS Characteristics of CRT, continuously and robustly integrate CRT into their classroom practice, and positively impact student achievement and learning.
