COURSE DESCRIPTION
ART 153 provides lectures, demonstrations, guided practice, and independent practice in creating functional and sculptural ceramic artwork. In addition, we will use the elements of art and principles of design in creating, discussing, and describing artwork. We will learn about, and practice craftsmanship as it applies to clay artwork and contributes to the successful completion of ceramic artwork.
