Three Building Methods

DUE  AUGUST 29

Assignment: Students will create three small pieces using one hand building method for each piece to demonstrate understanding and mastery of each method OR create 1-2 pieces combining methods. Students will use 1.5-2 lbs of clay for a max total of 6 lbs.

Work on the Wheel

Students will learn how to throw multiple forms on the wheel. The goal is more about the process than the finished project.

Create Vertically

Students will create 2 - 8" vertical forms or 1 - 15" vertical form after demonstrating mastery of throwing a 6" cylinder on the wheel.

Project 5

Slab over Form

Students will create a form by draping a sheet of clay over a plaster mold or another suitable object in order to create a bowl-like object.
