The PreAP/GT physics course is an algebra based physics course which is designed to prepare you to take the calculus based AP physics C course next year.
In this course we will focus our efforts on two main areas, content and process. Each are equally important, without one the other can not work. Content focuses on your knowledge, whereas process focuses on how to apply your knowledge. Of the two content is probably the aspect of the class you will be most familiar with, "What do I need to know so I can learn it?" Process can be a little harder to get to grips with, "How can I apply the things I learned to this new problem?"
To improve your skill at applying knowledge we will work in groups discussing and solving problems together. We will use inquiry based labs and activities to develop your own understanding of concepts. You will also be asked to explain your reasoning in formal (lab reports, free response questions) and informal (discussions as a class or group) ways.
