Pre-Algebra Week of 12/16- 12/20

Half of the school year is almost gone. How did this happen? I have enjoyed working with the students this semester setting them up for a variety of algebra applications that we will begin to use as we get into the second semester. They have grown so much academically and I am very proud of their progress. I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday break.

There is a practice final on Socrative.com (SNYDERROOM) that will go over all of the concepts on the final. This is a comprehensive final and will cover all concepts learned throughout this first semester. As always, 3% will be added to the final score of any student who completes this practice final.

Monday- Finals Study Guide. This will be due the day we take the final and can be used along with a calculator on the final.

Tuesday- Math Symbol Ornament Construction Day. I will bring in supplies for students to use to craft their math symbol ornament, but this is optional. The ornament can be constructed at home. This will also be a time for students to work on their research paper/slides for Wednesday's presentation. All students were given a math symbol, a rubric, and were shown examples of previous ornaments and reports. They should have a very good idea of what is expected of them.

ALL BIG IDEAS ARE DUE TODAY!!! I will be updating grades during the final with any of the scores that have not been updated,

Wednesday- Math Symbol Ornament and Research Presentations. This will follow the rubric and is 90 points. An additional 20 points extra credit will be awarded for exceptional work.

Thursday- ODD DAY FINALS- 1,3,5 and 7th hour (1st Part)
