Mission Statement
As Music Educators, it is our mission to cultivate and inspire a rich classroom landscape for students to explore. Our work is to create an active, student-centered, culturally relevant and diverse learning environment. We aim for students to see reflections of themselves in the classroom, while simultaneously discovering new musical elements all within a safe space.
About Music Class
The Brown School Music Room
The Capuano Early Childhood Learning Center Music Room
Pre-Kindergarten
Students in pre-k recieve one 30 minute Music class per week for a full quarter (about 9 weeks) on a rotating basis.
Kindergarten - 5th Grade
Students in grades K - 5 receive at least 40 minutes of Music instruction per week, with a second 40 minute class offered on a quarterly rotation basis.
Chorus
Chorus is offered as an after-school ensemble for students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade at The Brown School.

Strings
Students in 3rd, 4th and 5th grade can take string lessons with Ms. Sadler in addition to general music.
Band
Students in 4th and 5th grade can take band lessons with Ms. Sears in addition to general music
