Adaptations

Accommodation: An accommodation changes "how" a student accesses or expresses their learning. 

Accommodations can include changes to the following:

  • Structure of an assignment

Modification: A modification changes “what” a student is taught or expected to learn based on their individual abilities. 

Modifications can include changes to the following:

• • Instructional level

  • Content/curriculum modifications

  • Performance criteria

  • Assignment structure
