College Admission Information
In the state of South Dakota, through the SD Board of Regents, from October 1st to November 30th, all applications to any public South Dakota college is completely free! During this period, most high school seniors apply and receive aid on college admittance. As for other private colleges in SD, some have rolling admissions where as others have specific deadlines. This can vary per college, so it is vital to contact the school or look on the college's website for application information. These sources will also likely house information pertaining to admission data, scores, and what the next steps to take after being accepted.

South Dakota Dual Credit Infromation
Dual credits are college classes that can be taken online or in person, during your junior and senior year, through an SD college. This class counts as college credit and can be added to your high school transcript as credit. With that, there are over 10 colleges in South Dakota that provides this service to upperclassmen. It important to note that certain colleges and dual credits may require a certain GPA and academic standing in order to be accepted. Here are some of the basic information needed to know more about HSDC (High School Dual Credits).
Costs range per college, but the average amongst SDBOR colleges is $78.48 per credit hour and as taken online.
If your school has a teacher that is qualified to teach a dual credit course, the cost can range around $40.
Depeding on the school, some administrations limit the amount of dual credits that you can take per semester, so it is best if you consult your academic or guidance counselor for support.
On average, for Seniors wanting to take a dual credit, a GPA of 3.25+ is required, and for Juniors, a GPA of 3.50+ is required.
