August:
Officers meeting: Plan the 2025-2026 year. Plan School Open House board, create bulletin board, create membership packets, plan membership drive
Fall Membership Recruitment: Tell about FCCLA, Complete Step One, have games and food.
September:
Chapter Meeting: Committee Sign ups: Plan Red Ribbon Week, update calendar and member of the month
Fundraiser - Serve Sundaes before Homecoming Coronation
Region Planning Meeting: Region Officers and Chapter Presidents attend Zoom call to help plan Region Meeting - workshops, food, speakers, etc.
October:
Chapter Meeting: Make final plans for Red Ribbon Week Oct. 27-31, Buddy project and explain what the members will do, and the Trick or Treat Service
Babysitting Service for Parent-Teacher Conferences
Red Ribbon Week: Dress up days and association to being drug free, create flyers, daily announcements, activity each day, plan for Buddy Day
Trick or Treat Service: Advertise, safely chauffeur students around town for treats by walking them safely through the neighborhoods.
November:
Chapter Meeting: Plan for Dinner Theater, Christmas Tree, Family Week, Secret Santa
Family Week: Have members recognize the importance of families in their lives activity
Dinner Theater Supper: Fundraiser for FCCLA, plan and prepare meal, sell tickets, decorate tables, serve food and clean up meals through High School performance of All-School Play
Aurora County Courthouse Christmas Tree: Decide on our theme, plan and make ornaments for decorating tree to promote FCCLA members
December:
Chapter Meeting: Secret Santa plans, Region Meeting Registration due
Courthouse Christmas Tree: Set tree up and decorate it for the public to view and enjoy at the Aurora County Courthouse
Secret Santa: Members draw for a Secret Santa and give them small gifts for a week meanwhile trying to figure out who their Secret Santa is
Region 3 Registration: Submit professional presentation STAR Events, officer candidates, voting delegate, knowledge bowl team members, and others attending
January:
Chapter Meeting: Region meeting expectations and dress code, plan for FCCLA Week, Shoot for a Cure Community Service project to raise money for Aurora County Cancer Fund
Region Meeting: Members attend to present STAR Events, present/attend workshops, serve as/run for Region officer, compete in Knowledge Bowl
Shoot for a Cure: Community Service project that the Plankinton School puts on to raise money for Aurora County Cancer Fund. FCCLA makes soups, sandwiches and bars for freewill donation at the event
February:
Chapter Meeting: FCCLA Week plans, School Board presentation, fundraiser, Staff Breakfast
FCCLA Week: Have different dress up days, different activities each day, make presentation about FCCLA at School Board Meeting, prepare and make breakfast for school staff as a form of appreciation for all they do for us
Kiss-O-Grams and Your a “Fanta”stic Person Fundraiser: Put up signs, take the orders, fill and deliver the orders by Feb. 13th
Babysitting Service for Parent-Teacher Conferences
State Conference Registration: Submit STAR Event participants and evaluator/chaperones
March:
Chapter Meeting: Make plans for Easter Egg Hunt, finalize applications for leadership teams, fill out leadership team projects and submit, submit Merit Chapter
Merit Chapter: Show all the ways our chapter is active and submit for recognition
April:
Chapter Meeting: Talk about expectations at state meeting, plan for End-of-Year Recognition event, local officer applications
Easter Egg Hunt: Assist with bagging up candy to be given out, hiding the eggs, bagging participation treats and toys, handle registration, supervise the hunts and assist with handing out prizes
State Leadership Conference: Members attend to present STAR Events, participate in workshops and sessions, run for leadership teams, and gain leadership skills
May:
Chapter Meeting: Encourage participation in follow-up activities from chapter STAR Events
End of Year Recognition: Members and families are invited to a recognition event showcasing STAR Events/awards on display, member recognition, announcing and installing new officers
June/July:
National Leadership Conference: July 6-10 - Washington D.C.
