7th Grade Social Studies - Geography

Course Description

During seventh grade, students focus on world geography, which is the study of the earth in all of its variety. Students will describe the earth’s land, water, and plant and animal life as they study places and the complex relationships between people and their environment. Students will gain knowledge, skills, and perspectives centered on population and cultural characteristics, landforms and climates, economic and political systems, and migration and settlement patterns within these regions. 

 

About me

Hello! This is my first year at Douglas Middle School. Previous to coming here, I taught US History at Central High School in Rapid City. I grew up in Wyoming but have lived in Rapid City for about 12 years. I love the access to the outdoors that we have here! I have two children and two Great Danes, which means I have a full house at home! I am looking forward to spending time at the middle school level.
