Meet The Teacher

Welcome! I am your 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Gillespie. I am so excited for the year ahead—a year full of learning, adventures, and new experiences. Together, we’ll explore, grow, and make wonderful memories in a supportive and fun environment. I believe every day is an opportunity to learn something new and to challenge ourselves in positive ways.

A little about me: I graduated from USF and currently live in Parker with my husband, Pat. Though I was born in Parker, I grew up in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota. I also coach JV volleyball—Fly Pheasants Fly! Some of my favorite things include learning how to golf, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends. You’ll often find me sipping on an iced hazelnut latte or a Tropical Dream’r Bubbl’r. When I need a sweet treat, Reese’s or sour gummy worms are my go-to. Christmas is my favorite holiday, and I love shopping at Amazon, Target, or Hobby Lobby. This will be my second year teaching, and I’m a big believer in treating others the way you want to be treated. We’re all here to learn and grow, and everyone deserves a safe space to do just that.
