Reading

For Reading, students should work on their Firsthand and Secondhand Accounts Activities in Google Classroom:

*Monday: Watch the introduction and optional firsthand and secondhand videos.

*Tuesday: Complete one Analyzing Firsthand and Secondhand Account Assignments called either “Midnight Ride” or “Olympic Gold”.

*Wednesday: Complete the Firsthand and Secondhand Accounts Assessment.

*Thursday-Wednesday: Work on your final run fun-week activities.Found here

**Remember, this timeline is just a suggested timeline. You can do these things at whatever time works for you and your family.

*All directions and resources are available on the Google Classroom. They will be able to submit their answers right in the Google Classroom too. Click HERE to sign in.

*Many students have asked about AR reading requirements. I will upload a reading log to the Google classroom soon. Students will be able to enter their reading minutes into it. Since we are more limited on being able to check books out, I would encourage kids to log any reading they do. It could be a website, such as National Geographic Kids, or it could be an e-book that they find, or it could be a book from home. Any reading is good at this point!

*There are extra activities included online, but please don’t be stressed about doing them. They are optional for those students who may be working ahead or want something extra to do to pass the time.
