A Little About Me

My name is Anna Hansen. This is my 13^th year teaching and 1st year in the Madison Middle School. I grew up in Madison, graduated from Madison High School and then attended DSU. I graduated from DSU with my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Learning and Behavioral Problems. I spent the first 10 years of my teaching career as a 5-8 special education teacher in Flandreau, SD and the last 2 years in the Madison Elementary teaching 5th and 4th grades.

My husband, Nick, and I have four young children: Elizabeth, Stephanie, Matthew, and Natalie. We also have 2 energetic dogs, Xena and Zeus, and 2 cats, Iris and Jewel. Along with spending time with my family and keeping up with their activities, I enjoy bowling, gardening, a variety of crafts, baking, and watching football. Some of my favorites are Target, dark chocolate, coffee, cherry coke, and Dairy Queen.
