Hello!
I’m Mrs. Anderson, your second grade teacher! I’m so excited for all the fun and learning we’ll get to experience together this year.
I grew up right here in Parker and graduated from Parker High School in 2017. I went on to earn my degree in elementary and special education from the University of South Dakota—go Yotes!
These days, I live in Harrisburg with my husband, Zack, and our adorable puppy, Charlie. Some of my favorite things include traveling, spending time with family and friends, and playing volleyball. I also love hiking, shopping on Amazon, and sipping a BUBBL'R Twisted Elix'r. My favorite holiday is Christmas, my favorite animals are dogs and elephants, and my favorite color is red—of course!
This will be my fifth year teaching, and I can’t wait to watch you grow this year!
My Teaching Philosophy
I believe in the power of yet—that with a growth mindset, every student can learn, grow, and overcome challenges. In our classroom, we work as a team, support each other, and aren’t afraid to try new things. Learning is about progress, not perfection!
Classroom Expectations
In our classroom, we focus on building a strong, respectful, and caring community where everyone feels safe to learn and grow. I use a consistent and thoughtful approach to behavior that centers around logical consequences, student accountability, and open communication between home and school.
